During my school & college days, all of us used to celebrate 26th Jan in a very special way. I was part of the group which sang Vande Mataram, Jana Gana Mana along with other patriotic songs. During those days I was enlightened as the chief guests used to address us with very inspiring lectures of how we achieved our Republic with the struggle of few eminent leaders and thier sacrifice. Also we used to have compitition with in our own classes with respect to decorating our rooms for the occassion and the best room was awarded with a small token of appreciaiton from the management along with a special honour to the class teacher of that class. I cannot forget my sweet memory of getting 1st prize for singing the song "Jaya Jaya Priya Bharatha Janani..."
